I actually took my previous post down because I was
beginning to sound too negative about the whole process.
I will go back and put up some previous post but for now
I am thrilled to say we got our referral !
I really don't like the word referral but thats part of
the adoption lingo.
We waited over 9 months for find out who will be joining
our family. I'm not going to lie, I think waiting and not
knowing when you will get "the call" has been the hardest
part of our journey. When you do have a referral at least
you know somewhat of a timeline when your child will
be coming home. With waiting for a referral each month
it felt like a miscarriage when there was no news.
We received our referral on March 10th for a sweet little
girl who is 6 years old. We've seen lots of pictures and
some video of her from the families that have traveled.
I am so blessed and thankful for the families who
take the time to snap photos and videos and share
experiences of what our little girl is like.
I really feel like I can exhale and start enjoying
our adoption journey again.
I will do another post about the day we got the news
about Little Miss R otherwise known as Sunshine.
